A retrospective of sculpture and drawing from mixed media artist Nancy Bowen. Using eclectic mixtures of imagery and material, Bowen creates abstract 2D & 3D artwork that often reflects, seeks to embody, and express what it feels like to “inhabit a female body, as opposed to what it might look like.”
The opening will take place Thursday, 1/26/23, from 4 - 6 pm at the WCC Art Gallery, with light refreshments.
This exhibition will be on view from January 26th through April 12th during gallery hours, with a panel discussion about the work with leaders in feminist theory, art, and activism on March 1st (details to follow soon).
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday: 10 am - 3 pm.
Thursday: 10 am - 3 pm and 4 -pm 6 pm
